When The Hollywood Woman's Press Club award it's "Golden Apples,"  it also has a mysterious Santa to distribute gifts.  Here'show Dr. Kildare fooled everyone  in the role of ol' St. Nicolas.

It took Dick less than an hour to age fifty years; he made up in a Beverly Hills hotel room to keep his identity a deep, dark secret.

Dick has naturally rosy cheeks but he has to do something about his nose - so he picked out the biggest, rounded one he could find.

He's already jolly, but it will be a long time before Dick becomes old, and grey-he'll only be celebrating his 30th birthday this March 31. However his hair has darkened.

Disguises are nothing new to the blue-eyed bachelor. For the sneak preview of Twilight of Honor, he donned sunglasses and a fake  mustache; he was able to come and go unnoticed.

Dick had never any problem getting dates. But what would they think of him if they saw him with  his wrinkles and beard?

Lorne Greene was one of the apples, but no one knew who was behind the beard until Dick unmaskered himself. Fooling half of H'wood, was more fun  than he bargained for.
