Tribute to Richard Chamberlain

 
Every year, in celebration of Richard's March 31st birthday, 
a group of loyal admirers and fans made a contribution 
to an environmental group that Richard supports. 
Richard is a Life Member of 'The Outdoor Circle' in 
Hawaii. A tree will be planted in his honor in the 
'Ala Moana Beach Park' at a later date.

The handsome, ever-compassionate "Dr. Kildare," 
starring Richard Chamberlain, 
premiered in the USA on MGM's Stage 11 on September 28, 1961 
and in Britain on October 20, 1961. 

The series was an immediate hit drawing fans from around the world, 
catapulting Richard's career and celebrity 
status to super-star heights. 

Who could forget those Thursday nights when 
everything stopped while we watched  Dr. Kildare solve the most 
perplexing medical mystery under the auspices of  Dr. Gillespie 
(Raymond Massey) at Blair General Hospital. 

Those of us who are loyal fans and enthusiasts of Richard Chamberlain would 
like to get the series back, and we need your help! 
If you would like to preserve the "Kildare series " legacy and 
celebrate its 40th  anniversary,
